Sympact manages nearly 200 websites as of February 2010 - This list features a few projects to illustrates the diversity of the projects that have been undertaken.

Sympact is constantly refining our skill set to ensure we are capable of producing what the market demands. Instead of jumping onboard any IT ‘fad’, we research with trusted industry leaders to determine the items that will be useful to our clients and ourselves, deliver what our clients require, generate a return on investment and are sustainable.
Our current technical capabilities are:

• Server-Side Programming Languages: Microsoft .Net, Visual Basic, PHP, Perl.
• Client-Side Programming and Display Languages: Javascript, XHTML, CSS.
• Database Provision: MySQL, MS-SQL.
• Online Infrastructure: WHM, cPanel and Plesk hosting management tools, Apache web server, Domain registration, DNS Management, Email provision, configuration and support.
• User Functionality: Operating system and browser compatibility control.

Sympact have 3 full time staff, 1 contract graphic designer, 1 additional contract support technician and 4 registered Sympact-product brokers outside Tasmania. The core local team are:

• Jon Hatto: Jon has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in Marketing and Management. He transitioned from Marketing to IT through a career as a Marketing Manager of a software company in the late 90’s. Jon is proficient in non-Microsoft programming languages and database management. His primary skill set is to design projects with the right balance of commercial and technical attributes, with a focus on a client’s return-on-investment.

• Daniel Bisset: Daniel has been programming for over 22 years, and is proficient in the powerful Microsoft .Net suite of tools. Daniel’s skill set also includes online and network security, network engineering and deals with client’s networking requirements on a daily basis. Dan has a sound understanding of trends lifecycles, and which new developments are worth pursuing.

• Julian Lesek: Julian has a Diploma in Information Technology (Web Development) and Certificate IV in Information Technology (Network Management). Julian is the frontline support contact for Sympact clients, but is also involved in the development and implementation of projects that he supports.

• Shaun Walker: Shaun has a Diploma in Network Administration, and is also proficient in non-Microsoft programming languages, and manages Sympact’s internal data centre infrastructure. Shaun is also skilled in network engineering as well as the conversion of graphic design projects into web-based components.

• Bronte Smith: Bronte has a keen interest in web-based media and media production. Her roles at Sympact include website content maintenance, search engine optimisation and registration, as well as web-based video shooting, editing and production.
